In an existing neighborhood in Heerhugowaard will be social care homes and rental apartments added at the tamarixplantsoen. These units for “assisted living” will be developed for Phyladelphia. Because of the L-shaped volume of the building proper urban integration occurs, the street side gets a clear boundary while on the other side it will keep an open character because of the green.
An important aspect of the design is that the apartments and assisted living facilities won’t have a separation but will come together as one. So will the entrance of the building be shared by the residents of care homes and the residents of the apartments. Eventually this place will be a pleasant place to live with beautiful and green surroundings and the dynamic of the plaza.
